Dear Combat Veteran,
Please take note of the following progress report:
CIB Restoration – The CIB, in response to overwhelming support, has been restored on our membership cards, letterhead, website, membership applications, etc.
Annual Member Renewal Notices In response to overwhelming support, those members who do not have email addresses will continue to receive renewal notices.
The 2019 Annual Convention – will be a “working” convention. Attendees will not just sit at the business meeting and listen to reports. We will be holding a Membership Seminar focused on how we can make existing CIAssoc Local Companies more effective. We will be discussing our plans for creating more CIAssoc Local Companies within our organization. We will be explaining the “tools” we will have developed to assist new Company Commanders so that they can conduct meetings in an effective, organized manner. We will be actively seeking your input.
An Attractive Convention Book will be published and distributed at the convention. Trust me, it will be a “keeper.”
A Scholarship Awards Program is under consideration that will be limited only to the sons & daughters or grandchildren of awardees of the CIB. If our corporate ads are successful, we will be discussing with you the National Scholarship awards that will be available. This will help kick start Scholarship Awards at the Company level. Please consider giving a charitable, tax-deductible contribution to the Combat Infantrymen’s Badge Association that would help fund our National Scholarship Program. There would be cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place essay winners.
New Contributor Categories established: Silver Contributor $50; Gold Contributor $100; Platinum Contributor $250; Diamond Contributor $500+. Your name and award category will be listed in both the Convention Book and the website, unless you wish your donation to be anonymous. (These are for donations above and beyond annual membership dues.)
Hope you had a wonderful past year! We are building toward a very exciting annual convention.
Alfred C. Serrato
